Artists such as Taylor Swift and Harry Styles have achieved this level of dedication through their unapologetic authenticity – and have inspired this personal project.
Truth Galore is an imaginary indie band that's built around the idea of deeply personal reflection on topics that young adults can relate to, such as existential dread, confusion, human character development, and finding meaning in the mundane. While these may sound like depressing themes, the brand's mission is to voice the frustrations of their generation in a way that is ultimately uplifting and unifying.
Instead of using heavy or somber sounds, they infuse their songs with a poppy, synthy vibe that makes the music more optimistic and accessible to a wider audience. This combination of thought-provoking and relatable lyrics and upbeat sounds is what gives the brand its unique duality and makes it stand out in the crowded music industry.
The creative direction and visuals of the brand also reflect this fundamental duality, with bubbly and slightly grotesque elements that capture the brand's playful, yet serious tone.
